Terms of Use — PlantIdentify

These terms govern your use of the PlantIdentify iOS app and its online service (together, “the Service”), provided by Human Rated AI (“we”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PlantIdentify identifies plants from photos, suggests possible plant problems, and helps you plan care (watering, light, reminders, weather-based advice) and chat with an AI plant assistant. Some features need an internet connection.

2. AI results are guidance, not professional advice

Identifications, diagnoses, care schedules, light readings and assistant answers are produced automatically and can be wrong or incomplete.
Never eat, touch, or give a plant to children or pets based only on the app. Toxicity and allergen information may be inaccurate. If someone may have been poisoned, contact a poison control center or a doctor (or a veterinarian for pets) immediately.
The Service does not replace a qualified botanist, agronomist, arborist, doctor or veterinarian.

3. Subscriptions

Premium features may be offered as an auto-renewing subscription purchased through your Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. “Restore” in the app re-activates purchases made with the same Apple ID.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, notes and messages you add. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the Service to you (for example, sending a photo to our identification model). How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy. Only upload content you have the right to share.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no attempts to disrupt or overload it, access other people’s data, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to break the law.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept the update.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for harm to plants, people or animals resulting from reliance on automated results. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
